Warren “Bud” Ames – Bud is the President and co-owner of Twin State Sand & Gravel. He started with the company in 1978 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in animal science. Bud lives in Bath, NH with his wife, Mary, where they raise sheep and sheep dogs on their 150-acre farm. On weekends, they take their dogs and sheep to competitions throughout the Northeast.
Seth Ames – Seth’s responsibilities include sales, special projects, and IT systems administration. He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Geology and was previously employed in Nevada as an ore control geologist and drill operations manager with Barrick Gold Corporation and Great Basin Gold. Seth lives in Warren, NH, and represents the third generation of his family to be involved in the business.
Duane Moody – Duane has been employed with Twin State since 2004. His responsibilities include supervising various company projects, serving as the Twin State and Blaktop Safety Director, and helping to maintain the company’s IT and computer infrastructure. He lives in Fairlee, Vermont with his family, and enjoys snowmobiling, restoring antique snowmobiles, and woodworking.
Jim Benjamin – Operations Superintendant. Jim has been with Twin State since 1998. He enjoys snowmobiling and spending time at his camp in Pittsburg, NH in the winter.
Bill Watson – Upper Valley Sales. Blaktop is excited to welcome Bill Watson to their Lebanon sales staff for 2013. Bill wears two sales hats as he represents Twin State Sand & Gravel’s product line of aggregate materials as well. His duties for Blaktop will be the sales of asphalt paving services to state, municipal, commercial and residential customers in the Upper Valley region. Bill brings a wealth of construction experience to our team having worked a combined 23 years in earthwork and paving operations elsewhere. Bill hails from Concord, NH but now resides in Lyme with his wife Robin and their two college age children both currently attending the University of New Hampshire. He graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree from New England College and was a letterman on their ice hockey team. He’s an avid sports fan following all the Boston sports teams and he plays a mean golf game too. “Still hoping to break 80 someday” he says.
